Father's Day gift ideas for church

If you’re like me, you have been searching for some Father’s Day gifts for church. You may be wanting to give the dads in your Children’s Ministry a special gift. This year Father’s Day looks a lot different for our nation. And especially looks different for the church and how we celebrate the dads in our church congregations.

I wanted this gift to just be a little something letting them know our church loves them and is thankful for them. And I decided that I wanted these simple (and yummy) gifts to all start with the letter D!

Here are 9 Father’s Day gifts for churches to give out:

Donuts

I bought the small 3-pack of Hostess mini donuts and gave each dad two packs.

Dove Chocolates

Dads love chocolate and Dove chocolate is amazing! I bought packs of the individual pieces of chocolate and put several in the bag.

Danish

I found that Hostess makes a Cherry Cheese Danish that’s individually wrapped so I included this yummy breakfast treat in their bag.

Doritos

A yummy, salty treat for Dads! I bought individual packs of Doritos to put inside their bag.

Doublemint Gum

A nice minty treat for them!

Dum Dums

These are great suckers! I probably bought these more as a treat for the kids than the dads!

Dad’s Daily Journal worksheet

I bought a copy of this resource from the PeachandPineapple shop on Etsy. Kids can fill out the information on their dad and give to him. I included one sheet of this journal page for each child in each family so that they can each fill it out for their dad.

Dad Emoji Magnet

This craft came from Oriental Trading. I included one magnet for each child in the family so they can each make one for their dad.

Father’s Day Bingo

I created a bingo board for dads! Dads will mark through things they have done in the past month. It’s a fun game to see if dads can bingo! Click the link below to download this file.

For the bag, I used these small brown Kraft bags from Oriental Trading. And I found a Happy Father’s Day logo on Canva and printed it out and glued to the front of the bags.

And the most important thing to do before delivering these bags is pray for each dad individually! Ask God to bless each one of them with wisdom and guidance in being a wonderful father to their kids. I know they will be so excited to see that their church delivered a bag filled with treats but will especially love that their church showed their love to them, which is something all people need to know during this pandemic.
